The Hornbill Festival is aptly called 'the Festival of Festivals' as it sees participation of all the tribes and sub tribes of Nagaland. The festival draws a huge number of domestic and international tourists every year and is organized in the Naga Heritage Village of Kisama. It aims to revive and protect the rich culture and diverse traditions of the Naga people. The festival includes performances, crafts, games, food fairs and religious ceremonies. Stay High brings you their campsite located just a few metres away from the Kisama Heritage Village.

Festival dates are from 1st December, 2019 till 10th December, 2019. Stay High is known for their hospitality and expertise with camping and brings you this unique experience which we are sure will make this trip a memorable one for you and your family.

Camping with meals - 3299/- (3D, 2N)

Double or triple occupancy in a 2/3 person tent, Breakfast & Dinner, Mobile charging point, Toilets, Drinking water, night lamps, Sleeping mat/bag, Bonfire, First Aid, Electricity, Hookah, Flea market, camp kitchen, local food, stargazing, traditional games, acoustic music

Itinerary:

Day 1 - Arrive at Stay High campsite by afternoon/evening and settle in. Rest and explore the campsite area. Relax in the evening next to a warm bonfire while enjoying the open sky. Enjoy dinner prepared by our local Crew and retire for the night.

Day 2 - Post breakfast take a short walk to Kisama Heritage Village for the Hornbill festival. Spend the day at the festival enjoying the festivities. By evening trek back to camp (sunset at 5:00 PM). Relax and enjoy evening tea. By evening, enjoy the bonfire and dinner and rest for the night

Day 3 - Get up early for a short trek to the base of Mt. Japfu and return by breakfast. Post breakfast, check out of the campsite and trek to Kisama Heritage Village. Spend some time in Kisama before moving out on your onward journey to Dimapur (Kisama to Dimapur - 3 hrs)

Day 3 - After a good nights sleep, enjoy breakfast and get ready for a Day trip to Jakhama village. Our transport will take you Jakhama village and you can spend the day interacting with locals in the village, exploring the sights. Our crew will guide you to meet a local family and enjoy a meal with them. Post lunch, our crew will pick you up and drive back to camp. After a busy day, rest and relax at the campsite.

Day 4 - Get up early for a short trek to the base of Mt. Japfu and return by breakfast. Post breakfast, check out of the campsite and trek to Kisama Heritage Village. Spend some time in Kisama before moving out on your onward journey to Dimapur (Kisama to Dimapur - 3 hrs)

Day 5 - Post breakfast, trek to Kisama Heritage Village to enjoy the Hornbill Festival. Spend the day at the festival and by evening return back to the campsite.

Day 6 - An early start to the day, move out with our Crew to trek to the peak of Mt. Japfu. Packed lunch en route. Soak in to the views from the peak and enjoy the solitude. Return back and reach the campsite by evening. At the evening bonfire share your days' travel stories with fellow travelers. Rest for the night post dinner.

Day 7 - Wake up early to catch the sunrise. Post breakfast, check out of the campsite and trek to Kisama Heritage Village. Spend some time in Kisama before moving out on your onward journey to Dimapur (Kisama to Dimapur - 3 hrs)
