About the Event

Want to try something new this Halloween?


Social writing app HaikuJAM is opening up its cottage to the creative and the curious for a spooky house party with a poetic twist!


First, we’ll share scary stories and write Halloween-themed haiku poems together (no prior knowledge of haiku is needed - think of it as a writing game).


Then, we’ll indulge in a dark comedy show by Anurag Parab and Anusha Iyer.


At the end, you'll have time to chill and get to know your new horror haiku buddies a little better. There will be free food, drinks, music, creepy vintage movies, a selfie corner and a surprise gift waiting for you.


Don’t forget to bring your sense of humour and wear a costume! There will be prizes for the best-dressed (and fake blood for those who are struggling for costume ideas).

Anurag Parab
Anurag is a freelance writer and started doing comedy in 2015. He's performed and is available to perform at birthday parties for kids specifically those of an impressionable age. His comedy is very relatable to dead people, unfortunately, they're not very good at feedback so he performs for one's that aren't dead.
Anusha Iyer
Anusha is a sensitive 25 year old and she started doing comedy in 2017. Her first words as a baby were ghrruhkkddhh bhhuuuufkhghrrr, which can also be described as her comedy style.
Event Host
Dhrupad Karwa (Dhru) is the 26-year-old co-founder and CEO of HaikuJAM, an app for writing haiku poems with people around the world. He has been an entrepreneur since the age of 14 and has given talks and workshops at venues around the world, such as the European Parliament in Belgium and TEDxDelhi.
HaikuJAM is an accessible tool for creative expression, meaningful connection and stress-relief. The app is used in over 100 languages, and has been profiled in Forbes, The New York Times, BBC, The Guardian, The Huffington Post and many other international media outlets. Alongside the app, HaikuJAM runs events around the world and has attracted audiences as large as 3000 people, which are always a stimulating, interactive and nourishing experience.
