Naturesapien is proud to present you with Humbling Hikes a monsoons trek series with an eco-friendly and mindful approach. As part of this trek series we will be hiking through some amazing locations in and around the city with a naturalist, as well as learn about local cultures, get involved into volunteering or even learn to be more eco-friendly. 

Our first trek in the series is a Hike to the HIGHEST POINT OF MUMBAI- Jambulmal. 

We will be guided by local naturalists who will guide us through the forest and share information about the various flora n fauna visible during the trek. 

Post-trek we'll be sharing a hearty meal with the locals, take a walk through the village and understand more about the Warli Tribal Community that has been empowered by Seva Charitable Trust.

About the trail

 'Jambulmal' is considered as the highest point in Mumbai at a staggering height of 468 meters (1535 ft) above sea level. Enveloped by a dense forest in the core area of Sanjay Gandhi National Park, the trail is 2.5km from the gate of Kanheri Caves.

This trail is ideal for beginner trekkers and wildlife enthusiasts. At the top of Jambulmal, one witnesses an absolute amazing view of Tulsi and Vihar lakes along with a panoramic view of Powai to Dahisar.

We'll also have an expert Warli artist teach us some basic elements of their world-famous artwork.

Tentative timeline

⏳ 7:00 am Enter the park. 

⏳ 7:30 am- Reach Kanheri with packed breakfast and begin trek. 

⏳ 10:30 am Enjoy breathtaking views and interesting information about different wildlife and reach the top. 

⏳ 11:30 pm Begin descent. 

⏳ Reach down by 2:00 - and head for an authentic Warli Thali prepared on an earthen chulha. 

⏳ Post lunch go for a short walk around the village. 

⏳ 3:00 pm Tea and departure.
