Indiegaga International Music & Arts Festival, Kochi 2019, the pet property of Wonderwall Media, is the first edition of the multi-city festival series that encompasses music, art and food. A harbor for art souls, Indiegaga will mainly feature major national and international musicians/music bands alongside a showcase of artisans like painters, sculptors, designers/design houses and more from all over Asia Pacific. The Down Troddence
A metal band hailing from Kerala, India. Their music blends Indian folk music elements with straight up thrash and groove metal. Through our music, they tell stories of the downtrodden and powerless. The band’s debut album How Are You? We Are Fine. Thank You. won 8 awards at the Rolling Stone India Metal Awards 2014, and has seen us hailed as one of the best metal bands to ever come out of India.
Dronningen
Dronningen are a London-based electro-rock assault squad funded in 2014. Dronningen’s debut EP Royal Riot came out in 2016, comprised of 3 songs showcasing their early approach to electro-rock music. After extensive gigging in London, Derby, Leeds, Southampton, Basingstoke, Reading, Lancaster, Sweden and beyond, the band have recently released their new EP "Sugarbox" (June 2017).
TheF16s
The F16s are an outfit from Chennai, India, that are carving a niche for themselves in the Alternative Pop genre. Having been around for the last 5 years, the band has traversed the length and breadth of the Indian indie music landscape, releasing 2 EPs and a full-length debut album. “Moon Child”, the first track, has garnered over a million hits on Spotify, appearing on their “US Viral 50” list in 2017. Currently, a 4-track EP titled “WKND FRNDS” is on its way, with a tour to follow.
Motherjane
Motherjane's music can be best classified as Progressive Ethnic rock....fusing rock with influences from the vast soundscapes of India.... Formed in the year 96 Motherjane had its share of highs and lows and extreme highs too.picking up the delicate balance to keep going on as a band and has completed 17 years of sheer bliss..Insane biography has been sincere effort to make themselves heard in the Indian rock scenario released in 2002.that record is regarded one of the most influential records in indian rock till date. .they cleared some ground when they came up with their second offering in 2008 - Maktub clearly made people look up and take notice and gave a clear niche to the band. Motherjane has done an OST for the movie ANWAR by Amal Neerad.. The band has toured extensively both within and beyond the country.the main international tours being in countries Indonesia,Ukraine,Sri lanka and UAE.now the band is working on its upcoming record due to be released soon.its based on the Golden age of mankind....
All The Fat Children
All The Fat Children (ATFC) is a Bengaluru-based rock band that was formed in June 2008. ATFC plays Fat Rock, a genre they coined to term their "fat" sound. They have performed more than 200 shows so far with 30 original compositions to their credit. They released their first single called "I Can Fly", which was also released as a video produced by Qyuki, an initiative by A.R. Rehman and Shekhar Kapur. A second single "Somebody Else" was released in 2015, also released as a self-produced video. The video also received air time on TV channels such as VH1 and Pepsi MTV Indies. The video was shot in a warehouse, which was painted and the process took less than twenty four hours. [8] The band's recent single "Somebody Else" was selected by Rolling Stone India as one of its 10 Best Indian Singles of 2015.
Cut A Vibe
The newest band on the block, Cut a Vibe is a four-piece electronic/alternative rock band from Trivandrum who is making the right buzz in recent times with their power packed live act. The band's sound has appreciable amounts of dream pop, folk, and progressive elements. The band describes itself as a tribe of humans who wish to learn and experiment the never ending, cut-a-phenomenon called music.
Pavi, who hails from Panchavilakam, near Neyyattinkara is a superstar of sorts owing to the brilliant art that he creates which are intensly political, contemporary and endeavours to be a critic of pop culture. A Bachelor of Fine Arts, he is a sought-after specialist for brand artworks and film poster designs. Some of his most famous and controversial art include his satirical take on Sree Narayana Guru, children’s comic characters, Trump, Raja Ravi Verma and so many more. He has exhibited his work extensively and has performed live on many stages both as solo and in collaboration with music bands like Cut A Vibe and presently with Kelvikuri. Today his art has a cult following across art aficionados of all ages.
Anu Cheeran (the little Goldfish)
Anu Cheeran has been passionate about art since her childhood. She did her graduation from NIFT in leather design and post graduation from NID in ceramic and glass design. The litlle Goldfish has always been her dream and passion. It is young pottery studio where Anu creates her masterpieces like home decor, tableware, sculptures and jewellery. She also does pottery classes and beginners handbuilding classes. She has exhibited extensively throughout Kerala and even outside the state.
Thomas Jacob
Thomas Jacob is a micro artist hailing from Kottayam and currently settled in Cochin. His interest in colors and shapes started at an early age, when just like any other kid he used to draw and color using crayons, water color etc. It was at age of 10 when he got fascinated with micro carving on small chalk pieces. That's how it started and over the years he perfected the hobby into more complex and sophisticated works on chalk and moved to other mediums like pencil graphite, crayons and rise grain. After pursuing Btech and MBA, Thomas worked in IT firm for 10 years and eventually quit his job to follow his passion. He never had any training in art but kept on trying. His unique micro sculptures are relevant to any social or current events and evidently he has become quite famous getting featured multiple times in various newspapers and TV shows. He has big celebrity clients like superstar Mohanlal and other mollywoods stars.
MK Satheesh
MK Satheesh is Kerala’s famous sand artist hailing from Munnar Idukki. He creates magic with his exquisite sand art at live shows. He creates portraits in a record time of three minutes by the medium of sand. Apart from Sand art he also does stunning caricatures and oil paintings. He has performed extensively all throughout Kerala and even outside the state and internationally too. He is one the most sought after sand artists of the country right now.
Minon John
Minon John born 12 February 2000 is an Indian artist and actor from Kerala. Minon has held more than 69 painting exhibitions so far, all across India, and he has over 3,500 paintings to his credit. A prodigal talent, who has never been to school and instead adopted the novel method of educating himself by means of home schooling, his first exhibition was held in the age of 8 in Thrissur at Lalitha Kala Academy. His art is abstract yet figurative in nature, with importance to strokes. He refuses to restrict himself to any specific categories. His stunning portraits are a thing of wonder. His art and talent has got him immense fan following all over social media. Apart from being an artist he is an actor of Malayalam film industry. He won the National film award for the best child artist in 2012, for the Malayalam film 101 Chodyangal . Minon also received the Kerala State award and kerala state film critics award for the same role, in which he portrays a class 5 student.
