Priyadarshini Gupta, an Amul Masterchef All India Top 30 contestant, visited Indonesia last year which got her started on a culinary exploration with a local chef. In February 2017 Priyadarshini successfully ran a 3 day traditional Bengali food pop up at Ashvita! She now brings the authentic taste of Indonesian food to the people of Chennai!
The pop up will celebrate the taste and flavours of Indonesia. Besides the well known Nasi Goreng and Satay, you will get to eat some local street favourites like - Gado Gado - a tangy Indonesian salad with Sambal Kecang (peanut sambal) the Nagasari (steamed rice flour pudding with bananas ) and of course traditional slow cooked delicacies like the Gule Kambing (meat stew) and Soto Syam (a one dish tangy and spicy meal).
