About the artist: Master Artist Priti Karn from Madhubani, Bihar has three decades of artistic mastery. Priti has adorned canvases with vibrant tales. A torchbearer of her lineage, Priti imbibed the art from her Padmashri awardee grandmother. Her artistry, celebrated with a state award, has graced galleries nationwide, a testament to her evocative strokes.

About Kathika

is one-of-a kind Museum and Cultural Centre situated in the historic neighbourhood of Kucha Patai Ram in Sita Ram Bazar, Old Delhi. Its endeavour is to promote and celebrate the vibrant living cultures of Delhi. Housed in two 19th-century adjacent Havelis that have been lovingly preserved and restored, aghika offers exclusive spaces for performing arts, workshops, screen culinary experiences, photography, and heritage baithaks. The collection at Kaghka includes rare archival photographs, decorative arts and artefacts and a specially curated library offering a wealth of knowledge on Delhi's heritage. 

Steps we will follow in this workshop:

We will be painting beautiful Madhubani motifs on MDF coasters. This is a beginner friendly workshop. You will be learning the nuances of Madhubani art, along with the stories and their significance. The workshop will also be accompanied with a small display of her artworks which will be available for purchase.

 Price: Rs. 2499 inclusive of the following:

1. All materials for the Madhubani workshop, including four wooden coasters.

2. Access to the cultural event at Kathika from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM (Originally priced at 750 per person)

3. Culinary experience from Chandni Chowk-Chai (tea), Mini Samosa, Matra Kulcha, Bread pakoda.

4. Access to exclusive paintings hand painted by the State Awardee.
