Throwback to IPL 2021 (April) - Season Overview
The first half of the VIVO IPL 2021 series has been one of the better seasons for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) so far. Starting off with a win over defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI). MI posted 159 in 20 overs, with contributions from Chris Lynn (49 off 35 balls), Suryakumar Yadav (31 off 23 balls) and Ishan Kishan (28 off 19). In their last game before the IPL was postponed, RCB suffered a 34-run loss against Punjab Kings (PBKS). PBKS finished with 179/5, with KL Rahul (91 off 57 balls) and Chris Gayle (46 off 24).
However, there remains optimism for this season, since they have always been a competitive and entertaining unit and with a few tweaks there is no reason for them not to come back with a bang.

Throwback to IPL 2018 - Season Overview
Royal Challengers Bangalore had a topsy turvy season, at times threatening to blow even the best teams away but at others succumbing to pressure far too easily. Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers predictably scored the bulk of their runs - over 1000 between them - but they could have used some support from a middle order that looked incredibly strong on paper. Umesh Yadav is currently the highest Indian wicket taker in the tournament. His 20 wickets were a fantastic haul and deserved return for some excellent swing bowling. There is optimism for next season at RCB. They have always been a competitive and entertaining unit and with a few tweaks there is no reason for them not to come back with a bang in 2019.
