The Maestro, isaignani ilaiyaraaja in association with “Mercuri" proudly presents “isai celebrates isai” a unique “Live Concert” with his complete and full orchestra of handpicked mesmerising hit songs and background scores thereby celebrating the true essence of music.

For the first time ever, The Maestro will present and explain a few of his legendary compositions and popular background scores from various hit movies which will provide the audience with an insight into his mastery and the opportunity to witness the Genius of “The Maestro” Live in action.

Besides the above, a galaxy of superstar singers with an impressive line-up of the likes of Padma Bhushan Dr. S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, Padma Vibhushan K. J. Yesudas, Bombay Jayashri, Usha Uthup and several others including a little rising superstar will perform with him and his legendary orchestra. They’re performing together again after a gap of more than a decade on the same stage in Chennai.

This celebratory concert "isai celebrates isai" is also a tribute concert to the cine musicians and their families and fittingly is scheduled on Sunday, June 02, 2019 which also happens to be the birthday of “The Maestro”.

    K. J. Yesudas
    K. J. Yesudas is an Indian musician and playback singer. Yesudas sings Indian classical, devotional and cinematic songs. He has recorded more than Eighty Thousand songs in a number of Indian languages, including Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, Bengali, and Telugu as well as Arabic, English, Latin and Russian during a career spanning more than five decades.

    S. P. Balasubrahmanyam
    S. P. Balasubrahmanyam popularly known as S.P.B. is an Indian playback singer, music director, actor, dubbing artist and film producer who works predominantly in Kannada, Tamil and Telugu cinema. He has recorded over 40,000 songs in 16 Indian languages. He has garnered six National Film Awards for Best Male Playback Singer for his works in four different languages; Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi

    Mano, is an Indian playback singer, voice-over artist, actor, producer, television anchor and music composer. He is a recipient of several awards such as the Nandi Awards from the Government of Andhra Pradesh and Kalaimamani award from the Government of Tamil Nadu. Mano has recorded more than 30,000 songs for various Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Oriya and Bollywood films.

    "Bombay" Jayashri Ramnath
    Bombay Jayashri is an Academy Award nominated, Indian Carnatic music vocalist and music composer. She is a disciple of violin maestro Lalgudi Jayaraman. She has performed at various festivals and venues all across India and in over twenty different countries

    Usha Uthup
    Usha Uthup is an Indian pop, filmi, jazz, and playback singer who sang songs in the late 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. Darling, which she recorded with Rekha Bhardwaj for the film 7 Khoon Maaf, won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer in 2012.
