About Fox in the Garden:

Fox in the Garden started as Songwriter and Composer Soutrik Chakraborty (AKA Zico's) bedroom project. After self producing and writing around 8-10 songs in his rented apartment in Versova, Bombay, it felt as if the entity required to be represented live. Zico sought musicians to play and collaborate.

The first instance was part of Friday Night Originals ; Season 3, wherein he collaborated with current member Avinash Chordia (Drums) erstwhile The Supersonics, Debo Singha ex-band mate and long time friend (Turfe and Write in Stereo), session guitarist and producer Ritaprabha Ray for the first single ;Heavens Got Your Soul;.

After a few months another single was released, ;Coma Weed; on The Park Street Local EP produced by Blooperhouse Studios in Kolkata. Soon after which a permanent line up was made to further produce more material with Avinash Chordia on drums, Shalom Benjamin on bass, Utkarsh Jaiswal on guitars and Ishan Lal on keys.

The name Fox in the Garden came from the feeling of alienation from the world but being aware of what goes on in it. The writing is inspired by day to day causalities and simple necessities
