After a very successful game held last year between 5 cities across Goa, ComePostVille is back with a game for little champions (Age 5-15) during their upcoming summer holidays.  ComePostVille aims to to encourage composting, reduce food wastage and at the same time help children think innovatively and creatively.

Did you know, most of our waste ends up in dumping grounds, waterways, is buried or burnt? This causes pollution and contributes to climate change. But with simple steps like composting, we can convert our kitchen waste into nutrient-rich food for soil.

About the Game:

ComePostVille aims to build an ecosystem for collaborative learning towards composting. With it’s second edition, the ComePostVille Little Champs aims to recognize 100 little champs in Goa and reward the best 10.

• In the two month holiday period, the little champions need to set up their own composting bins using any material of their choice.
• Points will be given based on innovative use of material for setting up the compost bin, consistency in monitoring, creativity of record keeping and presentation, reduction of food wastage and harvesting of compost.
• The little champs can take assistance from their guardians for participation and reporting.

How you can join:

Once you sign up, the ComePostVille team will share with a link to the Whatsapp group of your selected area for the little champion or guardian to join where all instructions, support, coaching and guidance will be given by different mentors.

Things to Keep in Mind:

• Little champs aged 5 – 15 can participate in this game
• Mobile/ computer to access Whatsapp and Google photos is required

Meet the Team:

ComePostVille was initiated by Abhinav Apte, who is passionate about waste management and has been composting for more than 8 years. He has seen many composting enthusiasts get discouraged due to issues like smell, insects, leachate etc which can be easily managed. With this game, he aims to encourage little champions to take up composting and provide positive reinforcement to continue.
