On a daily basis, we are assaulted by comments, images, suggestions that our bodies are not good enough. This can be overwhelming at times and make us hide ourselves away and worse we can come to hate our own bodies. However, the reality is that all bodies are different. Dance is the most primal way to learn to accept your own body. Dancing teaches you to listen attentively to what your body is telling you at all times, sometimes you need to accept that it has reached its limits, sometimes you need to cajole and push it past its perceived limits, sometimes you need to fail and celebrate your body's journey to that failure and most of all you need to learn to be grateful to the body that you possess.

The workshop will start with a short performance by our instructor, Shambhavee; this will be followed by an icebreaker activity to loosen your mind and body; next there will be more movement-centric activities to get the flow of things going; you will learn some choreography designed to challenge your mind and body.

• This workshop is only for adults. Furthermore, if you are conservative-minded then the instructor's performance and some of the choreography will not be suitable for you. The aim is for the workshop space to be open and non-judgemental so please self-select accordingly.
• Our event has been intentionally kept small and informal for you to have an amazing learning experience! 
• Participants need not have prior dance experience to attend this workshop.
• Please come in comfortable clothing to have chilled out experience;
• The venue is on the 2nd floor of the building and does not have a lift. So, participants with health issues should plan accordingly.
• The instructor is comfortable with Hindi and English.
• Bodhiroom is committed to sustainability -please bring your reusable water bottles, water refills will be available; as we try to keep our event as low waste and plastic free as possible.
• Please note that Bodhiroom only refunds the ticket price in case of cancellation on part of the organiser. There is no refund in case the participant is unable to attend and no possibility of re-using the ticket for another workshop.
