Kanheri Caves Heritage Walk
With our local expert, we will discover some of the hidden stories and mysteries of these caves, retrace the ancient origins of Buddhism in Mumbai, and experience the daily life of the National Park's local inhabitants.
Our local expert who is a practicing Buddhist and the head of the Buddhist Committee of the region, will enlighten you through the caves and the National Park. Having lived in the park all his life, he has a rather interesting perspective of this popular getaway, which in his words is, "an island of peace within the island of Mumbai."
This experience will also include a panoramic view of the forest and Tulsi Lake, and visit to a tribal settlement where we will see and learn a bit about the popular Warli art.
Come, join us on this walk with our local expert, a Mumbaikar who breathes fresh air and doesn't encounter any traffic in his daily routine! He will happily answer any questions you may have about Buddhism, the caves and life in the national park.
