You need not have to opt for a leave to take this trip as we conduct it on weekends! This camping-trekking trip to Upper Vaitarna, we assure you will be a fun-filled one that will drum-out all that weariness from you and make you feel rejuvenated and alive!

Upper Vaitarna is a beautiful reservoir that lies near Upper Vaitarna Dam in Igatpuri, Nashik district. On the first day of the trip, we will reach the campsite and spend our evening enjoying games, singing around the bonfire. Next day, at dawn, we will leave for Kavnai Trek. Kavnai is a fort, which is easy to trek. After reaching atop in the wee hours of morning, witness the mesmerizing sunrise. Soak in the brilliance of the sunrise as darkness in the sky fades away and is filled with crimson hues, nature is indeed the best painter.

After enjoying the surrounding views, we descend and visit the famous Kapildhara teertha, dedicated to Lord Shiva. During Kumbh Mela, saints and sages come to this temple to pray to Lord Shiva and bath in the holy pond. After exploring the temple and having some lip-smacking breakfast, we will leave for our homes, cherishing the fun-time! So, why wait, book your spot today!

Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Saturday: 29th February 2020

03:00 pm Meet the Trikon team at Kasara Railway station near the ticket counter and proceed for lakeside camping. (Evening snacks on the way).

05:00 pm – Reach the campsite and set up the tents.

07:00 pm – Have dinner at a nearby restaurant.

08:30 pm – Bonfire with some games / music / songs

10:30 pm - Good Night

Day 2: Sunday - 1st March 2020

04:00 am - Wakeup Call, freshen up and leave for Kavnai Trek

06:00 am – Reach Kavnai Top and explore till the sun rises.

07:30 am – Start descending

09:00 am - Visit famous temple after the trek. Enjoy a yummy breakfast at the temple itself.

10:00 am – Leave for Kasara station.

11:30 am – Reach station and catch the next train for home.
