This is your opportunity to learn some authentic Tibetan dishes from a home chef who belongs to this community. Authenticook's home chef Esha will be conducting a Masterclass at The Foodhall Cookery Studio, Linking Road, Mumbai outlet this March. The Tibetan cuisine is known for its simple recipes made using fresh ingredients and few spices. It personifies the adage that ‘Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication’. The Cooking Class brings to the table a few distinct dishes which are easy to make and brilliant to relish! The session will cover the cooking class followed by a dining event where you can sit around the table and partake the recipes cooked along with some additional Tibetan Fare.
SUJA TEA WITH TSAMPA
Commonly known as Butter tea, it isn't your regular sweet tea but a bit savoury. It is served with a healthy dollop of barley
EMA DATSHI
Ema means chilli and Datshi mean cheese. It is a popular choice of the natives of Bhutan and cooked in the simplest fashion with loads of exotic cheese for strong hilly flavour
MOMOS
Handmade steamed dumpling with a filling of ground veggies. .Home-chef Esha makes these the way her grandma taught her.
THENTHUK
A common noodle soup from the Tibetan cuisine made with flour, meat broth and some tasty veggies

Tibetan mushrooms with vegetables. In Tibet, mushrooms are gathered in the wild for use as a low-cost meat substitute.

The Tibetan word for potatoes is ‘Shogog’ and 'khatsa' means spicy. You get the idea!
