Surat gets its first stand-up comedy club - Let's Giggle, a Creative Witty Property dedicated to stand-up comedy shows. Launching this year, they want to bring in two comedians who have known to entertain audiences of huge sizes with their brand of humour - Atul Khatri and Sapan Verma.
A Mumbai-based businessman who got up late in life and decided to do English stand-up comedy so that he could tick it off his own bucket list, Atul Khatri is an Indian computer engineer and a British management scholar. He always orders soup one by two even
when he is eating alone, earns a decent double income, has two kids and strictly no sex family. He was also one of the three finalists in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival contest. He performs regularly at The Comedy Store (Best-in- Stand-up), The Canvas Laugh Factory, East India Comedy shows and private shows all over India. He has performed for corporates like SODEXO, Proctor and Gamble, SONY TV -PRIMETIME MEDIA, FICCI, BMPA (Bombay Master Printers Association), RAI (Retailers Association of India) and many others.
Sapan Verma is one of India's youngest professional comedians, having done over 300 shows in the last three years. He has not only performed all across India but also in Barcelona, Singapore and China. As one of the founding members of Indias busiest comedy company East India Comedy, Sapan has regularly performed at various auditoriums, college festivals and corporate events.
