Fusing elements of Progressive Rock, with mainstream song writing of Hindi Rock, seems to come naturally to Mumbai based band, Coshish. The band believes that their music should have mass appeal and yet showcase their musical dexterity. Their songs are as simple as they are complex and carry strong social messages, delivered beautifully through Hindi lyrics. Coshish leaves little to be desired by ensuring that they do not compromise on any facet of their music, art or performance! The members endorse Mapex Drums, Paiste Cymbals, Blade Guitars, ESP Basses and Laney Amps.

Their collective influences range from Tool, Porcupine Tree, A Perfect Circle, Opeth, Radiohead, Isis, Karnivool and Meshuggah to AR Rehman, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Pandit Bhimsen Joshi, Lucky Ali and Mohammed Rafi. Their compositions however, can only be described as “Coshish”. Coshish Live Performances are what truly sets them apart. Peppy and upbeat Acoustic Sets or Intense and Energetic Electric Sets with Visuals. They create an atmosphere in which the crowd can experience the emotions and literally connect with the lyrics. “Only if we relive every moment of our songs, will the audience be able to connect with our music” is what the band believes. It is no wonder then that they frequently go into a trance while performing. This conviction and belief in their work is what translates into an audio-visually heightened emotional journey for their audience!
