About Lippan Kaam:

The beautiful Mud and Mirror art is an integral part of the rural Kutchhi lifestyle. Traditionally, this artwork is done on the inner walls of the circular houses called Bhunga, which are seen in the desert region of the Kutchh. Women of the house make mud and mirror murals to decorate it. These murals have various patterns and designs.

Mirrors on Lippan art glitter and glimmer with a change in light. Colors used in this art form are very earthy; Dull orange, ochre, deep browns, olive greens. This art allows one to feel the earth in their hands. This art allows one to feel earth in their hands.

The Craftsutra is a platform that connects learners with artists, we create Artsy experiences where people can engage in a variety of Art/craft forms, discover things about themselves and meet other art enthusiasts. We believe that anyone can create Art and look forward to offering people the opportunity to paint, create, learn and explore art in a way like never before.

We invite people to share their love for art- bring it alive through the medium of workshops, meet-ups, art retreats. Encouraging people who are even vaguely interested in art to participate in a myriad of interactive workshops. From fun paint parties to mandala-making to calligraphy, decoupage, glass painting to wood carving, our arty get-togethers are held across different cities and at different venues over the weekends.

The idea is to create unique art experiences, an opportunity for people to meet with like-minded folks and obviously, let people harness some painting/crafting talent while creating a memory that brings with it warmth and contentment.
