Sandeep Pandit 

Sandeep Pandit was born in Kashmir to a Kashmiri Pandit family in 1981 before militancy forced them out to Bangalore in 1990. It was here that Sandeep’s passion for cooking grew. In December 2016, Sandeep moved to Australia and was selected for MasterChef Australia. Sandeep cooked food from his Kashmiri and South Indian heritage and won the hearts of the judges (Gary, Matt and George) and the coveted MasterChef Apron. Sandeep was the first contestant in MasterChef Australia history, to win a Perfect score and an Immunity pin. His Lobster Masala was considered one of the best dishes in the MasterChef Australia’s history. he was given the title of the best Indian cook in the 11 seasons of the show. Sandeep finished Top 11 and his skills in the kitchen, earned him the title of “The Spice Angel” in the Australian media.
