Goonj (www.goonj.org), founded in 1999 by Magsaysay award winner Mr. Anshu Gupta, works on poverty alleviation, rural development, and disaster relief & rehab, by using the cities’ discards as a fuel for wide-spread development work across villages in India, creating a barter between two new currencies - the urban underutilized material, and, the efforts of rural communities who work on the neglected issues around water, sanitation, menstrual health and hygiene, nutrition, local infrastructure, etc. Working with a strong network of 600+ grassroots partners, in the last 8 years (2014-2022) itself, we have reached out to more than 12 million people, facilitated 55,000+ development activities and channelized more than 45 million kgs of material across 31 states & UTs of India.

Hinjewadi

Address: Reception Area Podium 1 & 2, Megapolis Splendour CHS ltd, Maan, Hinjewadi Phase 3

Timing: 10.00 am - 1.00 pm & 2.00 pm - 6.00 

By Road if coming from Mumbai: Once you cross the Toll Naka, come under the flyover and at the second signal take a you turn towards Mumbai. Immediately after the u turn there is a big building and in front of the building there is a bus stop. Immediately after the bus stop there is a small left turn. This road is just before the Nissan showroom. Take this turn inside and then take the left when you see Aqua Regency Hotel board. Once you take a left, dead end of that road you will see the board of Goonj on the first floor of the last building in that lane. Next to the building there is a big gate. Come inside the gate and entrance is from behind. 

By Road if coming from Thane: Once you reach Fountain hotel, take a left and come under the KAshimira flyover. Once under the flyover you will find Kashimira police station on your left. Immediately after that there is a big building and in front of the building there is a bus stop. Immediately after the bus stop there is a small left turn. This road is just before the Nissan showroom. Take this turn inside and then take the left when you see Aqua Regency Hotel board. Once you take a left, dead end of that road you will see the board of Goonj on the first floor of the last building in that lane. Next to the building there is a big gate. Come inside the gate and entrance is from behind.
