LOUISE BURNS
Louise Burns is a Canadian singer-songwriter. Formerly a member of the band 'Lillix' she co-founded at the age of 11, she released her debut album 'Mellow Drama' in April 2011. The album was long-listed for the 2011 Polaris Music Prize. Louise is an in-demand collaborator, an acclaimed solo musician and multi-instrumentalist whose celebrated songwriting is equal parts grit and gloss. She's toured extensively, playing throughout Japan, China, Europe, and North America and is an engaged, dynamic artist, whose interests cannot be contained by hours in a day. Her third album, 'Young Mopes' was co-produced by Colin Stewart (Dan Mangan, Black Mountain) and Damian Taylor (Bjork, Braids, Austra) and was also long-listed for the Polaris Music Prize in 2017.
I M U R
I M U R is a three-piece electronic-R&B band from Vancouver, Canada. They are known for bass-heavy beats and sultry RnB vocals with an eclectic mix of instrumental melodies and slick hip-hop production that transcends genre and induces true goosebumps. I M U R has played numerous clubs and festivals across Canada and most recently the main stage of Bumbershoot Music Festival alongside artists like Jorja Smith, Flume, Foster the People, Big Sean, Odesza and Solange. Their first EP, Slow Dive, landed them a #5 spot on Billboard’s Global Viral Spotify chart. In addition to receiving praise from Noisey, Exclaim!, Hip-Hop Canada, Beatroute Magazine, The Georgia Straight, IDOBI, All Things Go and other international blogs, I M U R was recently nominated for a Western Canadian Music Award for Electronic Artist of the Year.
