Part 2 in a series, this week we will discover the folk music, and classical music (influenced by folk) from Chile.
About Moa Edmunds
Moa Edmunds Guevara is an award-winning Chilean guitarist and composer belonging to the new generation of musicians who cohabit classical and folk music, developing his career in the interpretation, arrangement and composition around the Latin American imaginary.
Some highlights of his career also include competitions, such as the “1st Seconda Prattica International Arrangement Competition for Solo Guitar” (New York, 2014) and Prize for the Best Interpretation of the Chilean work in “Guitarra Sin Fronteras” (Temuco, 2015).
Author of two compositions books, composer and performer on nine albums in different projects and including one as a soloist, Moa has presented his work in countries like Argentina, Paraguay, Bolivia, Colombia, France, Nepal and India.
Through 2019 and 2020 he is filming a music documentary called “Nomadic Sounds”, travelling troughout South Asia and East Europe with Ser o Duo partner Tomas Carrasco (flute).
