Momasar Festival is set in Momasar, a picturesque village town in the Shekhawati region. Each year the village hosts the extraordinary Music and Arts Festival: The Shekhawati Utsav Momasar, attracting thousands of people who crowd the streets, milling between the open-air stages and havelis.
Momasar Fringe
Momasar Fringe is set in a campsite in the dunes, an annual experiment in bridging the urban-rural divide through the creation of temporary community space dedicated to self and community expression through arts and music. The festival features the finest in Rajasthan’s music, performance and visual art.

For those of you who are organized travellers, here are some details (put your planning hats on!):
Delhi to Momasar
Car (easiest)- Delhi-Hisar-Sadulpur-Taranagar-Sardarshahar-Momasar
Train: Train to Rajaldesar - 30min car drive from Rajaldesar-to-Momasar
22472 BKN INTERCITY Daily 08:40 (Delhi) - 14:23 (Rajaldesar) then a short taxi ride to Momasar
12457 DEE BKN SF EXP Daily 23:35 (Delhi) - 04:53 (Rajaldesar) then a short taxi ride to Momasar
Alternative Recommendation: Take a bus/train/flight to Jaipur and follow any of the below modes/routes for Jaipur-Momasar.
Jaipur to Momasar
Car (easiest) - Jaipur-Chomu-Sikar-Ratangarh-Rajaldesar- Exit NH11 and turn right at milestone “Bikaner 104 km” - Momasar
Bus - Direct bus from Jaipur to Momasar daily at 2pm (non-AC express bus). From Shekhawati Complex (Near Sindhi Camp).

Where do I stay in?
You can book a tent (Pamper-The-Camper package), which is already pitched when you arrive. It's the perfect solution if you like the camping ambience but would like to avoid the hassle of bringing your own tent and searching for the right spot to pitch it.
You can also choose to pitch your tent (BYOT Camping) anywhere within the designated camping zones that sit throughout the Festival grounds. Get your functional tent with rain fly, zippers, all the poles, and all the stakes. Sleeping Bag, Pillows, Bedding, Extra Blankets! It may get cold at night, please bring extra sheets & blankets to make sure you stay warm! If you are BYOT, you can buy tents on amazon (they range between Rs.1000-3000) or rent from suppliers in your city (range between Rs.150-300 per day).
Are kids allowed?
Yes, just make sure you keep an eye on them.
Is there a ticket for the main festival in the village?
No. All venues/events of the main festival (Shekhawati Utsav Momasar) are free with open entry.
Is food available at the campsite?
Yes, on additional payment. There is a community kitchen & cafe on site serving local cuisine using homegrown organic produce. You can even learn a few local recipes.
Can we accommodate an extra person in pamper-the-camper tents?
Ideally, it is a double occupancy tent. But in a welcoming spirit, we can try and let you know on a case-by-case basis. Please email us at themomasarfestival@gmail.com
What time may campers enter?
Campers may enter by 10 pm on Friday, December 14th and must depart by 12 Noon on December 17th.
How much money should I carry on me?
Rs 1000 a day per person should cover your food cost. You can bring some extra money to purchase exquisite crafts of Rajasthan.
Will a first aid kit be available?
We will have one at the camp-site. However, we recommend you to bring your own medicines and provisions.
