About the Event
A celebration of the Monsoon Ragas of Indian Classical Music through the unique Sitar & Sarod Jugalbandi (Duet) of the Mohan Brothers - Lakshay Mohan & Aayush Mohan. The brothers will present seasonal Ragas (Melodies) which are specifically played during this time of the year. They will be accompanied on the Tabla by Pt Mithilesh Jha and on the Pakhwaj by Pt Fateh Singh Gangani.
This concert involves a jugalbandi of the traditional Indian instruments : Sitar & Sarod which have been a part of our Indian Classical Music for hundreds of years and are considered to be two of the most difficult instruments to master. The Sitar and Sarod are the ideal instruments to be paired up for a duet. A long-standing Sitar & Sarod duet is now a rarity in the world of Indian classical music. The internationally acclaimed Lakshay Mohan & Aayush Mohan who have been performing at leading venues across the globe since the past 15 years, bring to this tour some of their finest repertoire and the true essence of a classical duet.
Their duet demonstrates two musical souls perfectly tuned into each other`s aesthetic vision and imagination.
