South of Vindhyas at The Orchid, Vile Parle, Mumbai is hosting the traditional Onam Sadhya on 25th, 26th, 27th, 28, 29th and 30th of August. The six-day food festival will showcase diverse flavours and delicacies from the rich culinary heritage of South India.

Starting with auspicious puja, this festival brings in the culinary journey from the State of Kerala, inspired by the old traditional recipes by the grandmother.

Right at the entrance you will see a beautiful rangoli and an authentic looking Kerala boat filled with authentic spices which are oftenly used for cooking an authentic South Indian Meal. A beautiful hostess draped in tradition saree is awaiting to welcome you at the entrance of SOV. The décor is very inviting with banana leaves and you will see danglers made from banana leaves too.

What adds charm to the festival is to see our serving crew is also dressed in traditional South Indian Kurta and dhoti that purely resembles the culture of south.

 Patrons will be welcomed with signature welcome drinks, called Kachiya Moru and Thakkali Rasam, before they are wowed by some delectable food.

The traditional favourites Banana Chips, Unniappam, and Chakka Upperi are served with a variety of pachadi, including Vendakkai, Pavakkai, Carrot, etc. Avial, Olan, Kootu Curry, and Sambar are among the elaborate main dishes accompanied with red and steamed rice.

Onam Sadhya will be incomplete without a traditional sweet offering. Freshly prepared desserts like Pazham puri, Adda Payasam and Parippu Payasam will tickle your taste buds.

This beautiful meal is wrapped up with traditional Pan which is again handcrafted by our culinary experts. 

Cherry on top is the vibrant decor decor with lush banana leaves that evokes the vibrant spirit of Kerala.
