Music Works Online presents a free webinar focussing on discovering new opportunities and future applications in music and sound production. This dialogue between an expert panel of industry professionals will shed light on current and emerging opportunities in music for new media, games, AR/VR/XR, and beyond.

Rajeev Raja - Founder & Soundsmith of BrandMusiq
Creator of the concept of MOGO® or ‘musical logo’, Rajeev Raja conceived BrandMusiq along with the late JS Mani. He is the ex-National Creative Director of DDB Mudra and is also one of India’s finest Jazz and Fusion flautists. This unique combination helps BrandMusiq merge brand understanding, consumer insight and musical expression in a manner that delivers tremendous value for clients. BrandMusiq has gone on to create ‘MOGOs®’ for leading brands such as Vistara, HDFC Bank, Zomato, CNBC TV 18, Kraft Heinz, Standard Chartered Bank and most recently the global sonic identity for Mastercard.
Matthias Bossi and Jon Evans - Co-Founders, Ridiculon and Video Game Music Produers
Drummer/Pianist Matthias Bossi and Bassist/Guitarist Jon Evans, also known as Ridiculon, have been writing soul-obliterating music for video games since 2011. Their scoring credits include The Binding Of Isaac: Rebirth and all subsequent DLC, The End Is Nigh, Blade Strangers, The Legend Of Bum-Bo, and the upcoming Epic Games platformer Super Meat Boy Forever. They’ve shared the studio and stage with the likes of Tori Amos, Linda Perry, Sarah McLachlan, Tanya Donnelly, Fred Frith, Pretty Lights, St. Vincent, John Vanderslice, Skeleton Key, The Book of Knots, and Sleepytime Gorilla Museum.
Jeanine Cowen
In addition to teaching at the Berklee College of Music, Jeanine Cowen works actively as a freelance composer, music producer, and sound designer. She has received critical acclaim for her studio, television, independent, and interactive projects, which focus primarily on the intersections of music and visual media. Cowen trained at Northwestern University as a classical percussionist and graduated from Berklee with a dual degree in film scoring and music production and engineering. She has been a composer for film and video games, music producer, orchestrator, and conductor since 1986. Some of her notable projects include Hasbro's Mr. Potato Head, Microsoft's Fine Artist and Creative Writer, and Midway Games' Lord of the Rings Online, a multiplayer online role-playing game.
Varun Nair - Sound Engineer & AR/VR Guru
Varun has spent the past 15 years designing and developing audio for various applications. His career started as a studio engineer and has since included sound design, software development, and entrepreneurship. He co-founded Two Big Ears, a company that developed audio tools and technology for VR and AR. Two Big Ears was acquired by Facebook in 2016, where he is currently head of the AR/VR audio technology team.
Moderator: Ashu Phatak (Music Composer, Producer, Co-founder of True School of Music and BlueFROG)
Ashutosh Phatak is a composer, producer, multi-instrumentalist and entrepreneur based in Mumbai. He is one of the founding partners of live music chain blueFROG and co-founder of The True School of Music. Phatak has composed music for over 3000 television commercials, soundtracks for over 10 feature films, and released over 15 contemporary music albums.. He composed the music for the acclaimed documentary, Fire in the Blood, nominated in the World Cinema category at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival 2013.
