What better way to enjoy monsoon than a day trek to the old ruins?
If there was one thing that cannot be missed while travelling on the Karat-Khopili rail line, it’s the beautiful triangular peak that is home to the Songiri fort. What used to be a rarely visited hill with dense jungle and mysterious routes is now gaining popularity with trekkers due to the well-marked path and easy accessibility.
The trek to Songiri fort takes about 2-3 hours and is a perfect way to enjoy these rains, weaving your way through nature trails. It is an ideal day trek for beginners as well as regulars.
Meeting point: Karjat station 7:40am
5:20 am CST
5:38 am Dadar
6:15 am Thane and so on (Slow train)
Please don't miss the train
Breakfast at Karjat station and proceed towards Palasdari
Start trek by 8:30 am,reach the top by 12 have lunch, explore the fort, and start for our back journey.
Descend till 4:00 pm.
Evening refreshments.
Start our return journey
We will be returning to Mumbai by 7-8pm tentatively.
Identity proof.
A water bottle (Atleast 3 Ltrs),
Some ready to eat food. Plum cakes, Biscuits, etc.
Medicine(those) if u require usually (Optional)
Good trekking shoes,
A haversack to put in all the things to be carried.
Windcheaters.
Avoid wearing Gold and other ornaments.
In rainy season pack your bags accordingly to save them from getting wet.

Wear full sleeves, full track suite to avoid mosquito’s.
No jeans/skin tight cloths.
Proper footwear/shoes are essential for trek.

No deo / perfume. After trek it’s OK.
We reserves all right to change/deviate/cancel the plans without any prior notice.
No Extra adventure/out of itinerary behavior during trek.
Trek leader’s decision will be final and binding.
Photographs taken during the activity which can be used for publicity purpose.
Each member will be responsible for his/her own safety, Jewellery, Cash and baggage.
If done prior to 5 days of outing 50% will be refunded
3 days prior to event date 25% will be refunded.
After that no refund will be provided.
