About the Artform

One Stroke painting is a popular and interesting decorative painting technique that involves loading a brush with two separate colors and achieving shades and highlights in just one stroke. Donna Dewberry from USA is the inventer of this artform.

One stroke painting is used to create multicolored floral and botanical strokes that embellish any ordinary, smooth surface.

About the workshop

In this two days workshop, you will learn learn how to double load and triple load your brush with acrylic paints. You will also be learning floral and leaf strokes. After practicing on paper you will apply the same strokes on wooden watch box which you will be receive within the kit. You will enjoy decorating your own watch box with the unique One Stroke Art!

• 4 compartment watch box
• 3 Brushes (2 flat & 1 round)
• Sponge

Other Materials Required:

• Acrylic paints preferably Camel artistic acrylic paints (Shades of Acrylic paints : Titanium white, Olive Green, Yellow, Deep Magenta, Crimson lake)  
• Sponge
• Waste cloth
• Water
• One flat old brush
• 4 White A4 paper (printer papers)
• A plain surfaced steel /melamine plate (for blending)

After learning One Stroke Art technique you can apply the it on any base like canvas, wood, glass, cloth, wax candles ,metal etc. You can also decorate many things and gift it to your loved.

Pre-requisites / Preparation prior to the workshop

For this workshop, you can set up your workspace on a table or any flat surface. Make sure you are not sitting right under the fan or next to an open window, since acrylic paints dry very fast. Also make sure you keep all your materials ready prior to the session.
