Patisserie for Petit Chefs is the perfect introduction to baking for young enthusiasts, allowing kids to get hands-on experience by creating their own dishes. Patisserie for Petit Chef classes are designed to spark imagination and create confidence in the kitchen among kids. Classes are fun, informal, creative and they are a wonderful opportunity for your kids to roll their sleeves up and really get stuck in!

Tuesday 24 & Wednesday 25 October
11:00 – 12:30 Gingerbread marvels 2 part course
Create an entire gingerbread world to include houses, men, women, children, dogs and trees. You will spend part 1 baking your gingerbread home, figurines and any additional cookie based props which will be used for decoration. Part 2 will focus on making icing, cutting shapes and pulling together your gingerbread home.

Tuesday 24 & Wednesday 25 October
16:00 - 17:30 Baking & Decorating – Red Velvet 3 ways 2 part course
There’s nothing like seeing a project through from beginning to end and adding your unique stamp. In this 2 part course, we don’t want you to just bake, we want you to create and decorate! In Part 1 you will bake your red velvet cake 3 different ways; the traditional red velvet, a muffin and the layer for a trifle. Part 2 will focus on completing your trifle, filling your muffin and decorating your red velvet.

10:00 – 11:30 Cupcakes, cupcakes cupcakes!
Who doesn’t love a cupcake? While everyone may have their own recipe, we’re pretty certain that ours actually IS the best. Come along and give it a swirly whirl.

13:00 – 14:30 A Swiss Roll
Precision is key with the Swiss Roll when mastering the art of the roll. With assistance from our Chefs, Le Petit Pastry Chefs will take on the Swiss Masters and create the perfect tea time cake.

At CAARA we really do love chocolate and we certainly know how to get the very best out of it. We’ll impart the secrets of our cookie making and give you the opportunity to get creative and make and decorate chocolate truffles – the perfect Christmas gift?!

13:00 – 14:30 The perfect pie
For the slightly more serious junior baker, learn the CAARA secret to a lemon meringue pie.
