World’s first South Asian a cappella group, Penn Masala is made of students of University of Pennsylvania who are out to reinvent a cappella music(singing without instruments), by blending the best of South Asian sounds with the latest from the Western music scenes (giving it a Bollywood tadka). They have released nine full-length studio albums: Resonance, Kaavish, Panoramic, On Detours, Pehchaan, The Brown Album, Soundcheck, 11 PM, and Awaaz. Over the years, they've performed for President Obama at the White House, the IIFA and Star Screen Awards, Indian billionaire Lakshmi Mittal in London, and sold-out crowds in India that included Sachin Tendulkar & the Ambani family. Extremely popular on YouTube, their channel has over 93,000 subscribers, and their most popular video has over two million views!
