The 8th home edition of the Happiest Music Festival will see 12 international acts: From metal, to Indie to hip-hop to a capella! Sample them below.

While the American guitar genius is known for his blazing fast solos and technical virtuosity, he is equally adept at slowing things down and bringing out emotion from his axe. The Dillinger Escape Plan: Milk Lizard
If there's one band that's going to cause a serious moshpit at the festival, it's TDEP, who are on their farewell tour. This is one of their most melodic tracks, punctuated by jazz piano and a highly hummable chorus. Get that pain spray ready, folks!

Textures: Reaching Home
Friday is going to be a pretty emotional day for several metalheads. After close to two decades together, Dutch metal icons Textures are calling it a day and playing their last ever show in Pune. Fans will hope that this groove-laden masterpiece is a part of their final setlist.

Girls Names: Hypnotic Regression
One of the fresher acts to check out this time will be this fun band from Belfast. Their studio tracks are a combination of traditional rock instruments along with saxophones, organs, detuned broken guitars and pianos, and even sheets of metal assaulted with hammers. With a new LP due next year, fans should look forward to some interesting new music when they take to stage!

The Magnets: The History of British Pop Bands
Fresh off an Indian tour where they wowed audiences, the British a capella sensations are returning. They're known for their jaw-dropping covers of songs - a medley of which you can see here: From the Beatles to One Direction, with Pink Floyd & Gorillaz in between!

Bad Pop: Bad Pop
A totally fun (and slightly eccentric) band to check out is Vancouver's Bad Pop. This 2.5 minute throwback to good ol' punk is a great intro for what the band is all about.

Colt Silvers: As We Walk
The French rock band that's been described as "eternal unshaven kidults playing hide and seek at the frontier between the organic and the synthesis" will be touring India and bringing their pop-meets-electronic-meets-rock music to Pune. This should be a band that makes it to several playlists post the festival.

Honey Lung: Sophomore
Check out London quartet Honey Lung if you like shoegaze-type music with a few fuzzy guitars in the background (and the occasional singalong chorus as well). With a well-acclaimed EP dropping earlier in the year, the band is well worth a listen.

Madame Gandhi: Her
Popular as MIA's drummer, Madame Gandhi has recently become popular herself with her atmospheric hip-hop with hard-hitting lyrics, which typically focus on feminism and activism. Her trippy videos just add to the flavour. This should be an interesting set.

Marky Ramone: Medley
The punkster who was a member of the iconic punk band The Ramones has been relentlessly touring with his band, Blitzkrieg (named after his old band's most famous song). Expect punk goodness and lots of memories from a time gone by!

Youngblood: Easy Nothing
