Puneri Paltan: About The Team

The Puneri Paltan is a squad who've always had the potential to rule the league, having been studded with star defenders. Injuries and changes in performance at the last minute have found the team not quite able to grab the title. This year however, the team's getting a total makeover. Known for always having had an intimidating defence line, this year the squad looks like an absolute raiding machine too! There's Nitin Tomar, Emad Sedaghatnia, and Manjeet set to rack up points for the team. On defence, PO Surjeet Singh and Girish Ernak will prove to be a combo to be wary of this season. As long as the Paltan remains in form and free from injury, this season's title could be theirs for the grabs.

VIVO Pro Kabaddi is the popular franchise-based tournament for kabaddi, India’s own sport. Since its inauguration in 2014, the tournament has been mesmerizing audiences across the country. Pro Kabaddi has 12 franchises based in the following 11 states: Maharashtra, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Gujarat, West Bengal, Bihar, and Andhra Pradesh. The main aims of the tournament are promoting the game of Kabaddi, nurturing new talent and giving it a global platform. VIVO Pro Kabaddi Season VII starts from July 2019.
