Tantra Theatre Group brings to you a quick weekend entertainment fix: Quickies - a set of one-act plays that pan out as short conversations, each one more interesting than the other! Quickies opens with select comedies set in a cafe where the conversation is not just about the coffee! As the characters reel under the caffeine hit, they spill beans and end up cleaning more than the mess. This set comprises endless variations of boy-meets-girl, blind dates which progressively get more "interesting" and the delicate balance between truth and fiction while flirting your way through a conversation, all in the quest of "the chosen one".
What happens next, when one decides to take the conversation from the cafe to the bedroom? The steamy conversations over coffee in the first half mature in the second half and shift the spotlight to layered concepts of love, infidelity, and the everyday joys and subconscious tug of war of married couples.
Catch all this and many more regaling and heartwarming Quickies replete with the music of greats like Elvis and Belafonte!
