Evening hike to BaleA two-day trek with camping in the tents to the most prestigious forts in the history of Maratha Kingdom: Rajgad and Torna forts. Our trek starts from Gunjawane village with a stay in tents at Padmavathi machi and next day trek towards Torna from Sanjiwani machi with descending towards Velhe village 

Rajgad, the royal fort of Maharashtra was the first capital of the Maratha Empire during the rule of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj for almost 26 years, after which he moved the capital to Raigad Fort. The diameter of the fort at the base is 40 km making it difficult for anybody to lay siege to it, adding to its strategic value.

Highest Elevation: 1374m, Grade: Moderate.

Torna is one of the highest hill forts in Maharasthra & moderately tough to climb. Shri Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj conquered it in 1643 at the age of 16 and renamed it as Prachandagad which translates to the ‘Massive Fort’

Itinerary:

DAY 0:

Private vehicle journey from Dadar East at 11:00 PM with pickup points at Chembur, Vashi, Panvel/ Pune.

DAY1:

Reach base village - 05:30 AM.

Fresh up & Breakfast - 45 min.

Event briefing - 15 minutes.

Ascend trek to Padmavati machi at Rajgad - 2 hours approx.

Hike to Suvela Machi - 3 hours.

Lunch break at Padmavati machi- 1 hour.

Short break - 3killa - 2 hours.

Relax time in tents - 2 hours.

Dinner break at Padmavati machi - 1 hour.

Rest for the day in tents 

DAY 2:

Wake up call - 5:30 a.m.

Fresh up & breakfast - 1 hour.

Rajgad to Torna fort trek - 6 hours approx.

Explore Torna fort - 1 hour.

Descend towards Velhe village - 2 hours approx.

Lunch break at Velhe village - 1 hour.

Return journey from Velhe to Pune/ Mumbai - 7 hours approx.

Expenses:

₹2700 per head, Inclusive of transport from Mumbai by hired NON-AC vehicle; Breakfast, Veg Lunch, Veg dinner, tent stay on DAY1 & breakfast, lunch on DAY2.

₹2400 per head, Inclusive of transport from Pune by hired NON-AC vehicle; Breakfast, Veg Lunch, Veg dinner, tent stay on DAY1 & breakfast, lunch on DAY2.

Exclusive: snacks. Cool drinks or any personal expenses.

How to Register:

Step -1: Go through the online payment.

Step-2: After payment, you will be requested to fill up the Mandatory online disclaimer form.

Step -3: Now your participation is confirmed & Organizer will add you WhatsApp number in the group on the day of the event for coordination, we will coordinate through SMS/ Call if the participant is not available in WhatsApp.

Checklist

What to Wear:

• Trekking shoes with a sturdy grip. 

• Comfortable quick-dry full sleeve clothes (avoid jeans or cotton wear).

Things to Carry:

Carry a single rucksack with the following things: 

• Minimum 3 litres of water.

• Sleeping bag or blankets for bedding.

• Glass, Plate and Spoon.

• Dry fruits, ready to eat food, and healthy snacks.

• Toiletry kit, sunscreen lotion, mosquito repellent.

• Spare set of clothes, an extra pair of socks, flip flops.

• Head Torch with spare batteries.

• Don't wear jewellery items and expensive accessories.

• Strictly no littering, carry an extra bag for non-biodegradable (plastic) wastage.

• Personal medicines if any.

• ID Proof is mandatory.

Instructions (Mandatory to read before RSVP to the event!!):

• Participants should bring an ID Card for their safety.

• Participants are requested to wear the mask at all times during the travel and follow the Covid-19 travel protocols issued by MOHFW.

• Participant to fill up the mandatory disclaimer online form with accurate details after payment confirmation.

Inaccurate details in disclaimer form won’t be accepted and our team may request to refill the disclaimer. 

• Please do not cause delay and cause inconvenience for others and impact the schedule if you are not able to reach the pickup point on the said time.

• Below 16 must take the consent of the parents to participate.

• Participants will be notified in prior when the itinerary is modified/ event gets cancelled due to any unforeseen circumstances.

• If there is an unexpected change in weather during the event, the organizer has the rights to withdraw/ retreat.

• Do not play loud music or tease animals during the trek.

• Avoid deodorant or perfume.

• Participants should pay for the expenses that are not mentioned in the expenses.

• Event schedule may delay or advance due to unforeseen conditions so timings aren't mentioned except the event start and end time.

• Alcohol consumption/ smoking/ any kind of intoxication is strictly prohibited. Will be expelled from the event If found with consumption.

• Please do not litter any plastic; we commit to keep our events clean.

• Washroom facility is inadequate during the course of the event.

• Participants should coordinate, disciplined and align together as a team during the event.

• Please do not expect luxury facilities and appreciate being cooperative with fellow ramblers.

• Though we assure safety as a top priority, Event Organizers are not responsible for any severe injuries or fatal events.

• No group discount or concession available for bringing own tents, etc. 

• We rely on third-party payment gateways to make the registration process simple and feasible; it also includes the convenience fee along with the main event fee which will be shown at check out that should be borne by the participant.

• A refund of 40% is paid if the participant cancels their registration one day before the event, 60% on the day of the event.

• There won't be any carry forward to the next event if a participant cancels the registration.

• No refund for a no-show.
