Dr. T S Sathyavathi is a renowned Carnatic classical vocalist and scholar of international repute. A child prodigy, she sang two compositions at the age of two before the Maharani (Queen) of Mysore. She has received training from several renowned musicians, including Padma Bhushan awardee Vidwan R K Srikantan. For over four decades, she has enthralled audiences at prestigious venues both in India and abroad.

Dr. Sathyavathi holds a Ph.D. from Bangalore University for her thesis on the "Contribution of Abhilashitartha Chintamani to Indian Music." She has conducted numerous workshops and appreciation programs in music for students worldwide and has delivered countless lec-dems on practical aspects of music at national and international conferences.

Her contributions to the field extend beyond performance. She has served in honorary positions in several prestigious organizations, including the Indian Institute of World Culture, Percussive Arts Centre, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, IGNCA, and Disha. She has also chaired the search committee to select the vice chancellor for Gangubai Hangal University of Performing Arts and evaluated Ph.D. theses for several universities. Additionally, she has authored the book "Chatushashti Kala - 64 Arts" and translated several texts on music and arts.

Dr. Sathyavathi is a much sought-after guru, with many of her students being graded artists on All India Radio and Doordarshan. She has received numerous accolades and awards from reputed institutions across the country, the latest being the "Sangeeta Pracharya Award" from Sri Shanmukhananda Sabha, Mumbai. Her passion and mission have always been to combine her knowledge of music and Sanskrit for the greater benefit of the performing arts.
