ReRoot is Mumbai’s first eco-friendly music festival. It is set on the backdrop of the serene woods of Aarey Colony which provides for a perfect setting. It is a way of getting people together to explore and enjoy the wilderness of the city. ReRoot will let you experience nature in a new light and let you get absorbed in the serendipity of the open sky.
The festival not only comprises of music by some of the best indie artists of the country, but also features stand up acts, workshops, flea market, silent disco, chill zone, and a pet corner. The festival will be run on renewable source of energy and and will have a no tolerance policy towards plastic at all levels possible.
Those at 'A Taste of Madness’ vision to promote sustainable live events, and believe every contribution makes a difference.
ReRoot will take you in and make you believe you have stepped outside of the city.
Music is at the core of ReRoot festival where top indie acts like Karsh Kale and Madboy/Mink can be seen setting the groove straight. The serene woods of Aarey promise to teleport you out of your worries. A line-up, tailor made for the setting, has been curated to give you an experience like none other.
Madboy/Mink: are a duo based out of Mumbai, India. The group features musicians and actors Imaad Shah and Saba Azad. They have over the last few years, evolved into a wildly popular electro-funk duo, making their own trademark brand of electronic music.
The Yellow Diary: Bringing rock back in India with thought provoking poetry and a unique soundscape (Artists at Sony Music India).
Raghav Meattle: Raghav Meattle, who made it to the semi-finals of ‘The Stage’ (a reality TV show for English music), is a singer and songwriter. Raghav, who hails from Mumbai, has already recorded a few songs for Ray Ban and Yash Raj Studios.
Aseem Trivedi: Aseem Trivedi, a Singer-Songwriter, and the winner of Mtv Nescafe Labs is all set to perform an unplugged set at the festival. Aseem Trivedi has performed at various Mtv Unplugged Live events along with artists like Harshdeep Kaur, Benny Dayal and Raftaar.
Niveditha Prakasam: A regular on the city’s open mic circuit, and more recently, the winner of TLC’s Queens of Comedy, the young comedian discovers that comedy finds a spot even in the most unlikeliest of venues.
