The Sopranos (Crime-Drama)
Why should you watch?
- The story about an Italian-American Mafia family living in New Jersey clearly fits in the likes of The Godfather and Goodfellas. However, this show by David Chase is not all violence and bloodshed. It skilfully deviates from the traditional perception of a crime-drama and stands out due to its domestic nuances. The way each episode is visually treated makes it no less than a movie and goes hand-in-hand with the different approach on the genre the show tries to take and does rightfully so.
- Tony Sopranos. He’s violent, cheats on his wife, lies to his family, wants to kill his own mother, and bullies his associates. He is despicable. But James Gandolfini as Tony Sopranos makes you fall in love with the character. He is the typical serious and silent mafia boss and while he is charming and frightening at the same time, there's also a sense of self-pity that makes you sympathise with him. And even when you hate him you really don't.
- Breaking Bad took inspiration from The Sopranos! So, yes, that. Also, 112 Emmy Nominations and 21 Wins. You need to watch this (again) to relive the brilliance the show is!

Seinfeld (Comedy)
Why should you watch?
- It revolves around the misadventurous life of NY stand-up comedian, Jerry Seinfeld and how his friends add to those hitches! It's about the regular things, the trivial matters that makes it totally relatable.
- Any moment in your day could be a Seinfeld moment and that too a hilarious one. The show is about NOTHING. Believe it or not, that was the pitch they used for the networks. Who would've known that a show about 'Nothing' could win so many Golden Globes and Primetime Emmys!
- If you don't get pop culture references like Yada Yada Yada or Festivus, there's no soup for you.
IMDB Rating: 8.9/10
Seasons: 9
Catch it on Amazon Prime Video.
Full House (Comedy)
Why should you watch?
- One of the first TV shows to show a non-traditional family - Dad, Uncles and Dad's best friends raising three girls. From hugs and moral lessons to sappy background songs this show has so much warmth. Watch for Uncle Jesse and Michelle's bonding and if that doesn't make you go 'awww' in your head, are you really watching it?
- Olsen Twins as Michelle! The character has so much sass and is so adorable that now her lines are GIF material!
- The ridiculous hair and clothes of the 90s. Only Uncle Jesse (John Stamos) could be excused with hair like that.
IMDB Rating: 6.7/10

Freaks and Geeks (Comedy)
Why should you watch?
- Very young James Franco, Seth Rogen and Jason Segel. And all the cameos! (Shia LaBeouf, Lizzy Caplan, Ben Stiller, Rashida Jones)
- Relive high-school the most hilarious way. You'll now be able to see the humor in being picked last, crushes, embarrassing presentations and so much DRAMA.
- You'll know why everyone who has ever watched the show hates the producers for cancelling it.

Mad Men (Drama)
Why should you watch?
- Massive insights into the early days of the advertising industry when things went ‘viral’ IRL.
- One of the most historically accurate and well researched period dramas of today.
- Jon Hamm as Don Draper. Sigh.

That 70's Show (Comedy)
