About the Event
Sahaj Parav Festival I Season 6
Sahaj Parav - The Root Music Festival coming into being in 2014, passionately driven by Dohar - a group of musicians and Lopamudra Productions, helmed by Lopamudra Mitra, has created its niche in Kolkata's annual cultural extravaganza.
Since its inception, nearly 100 folk artists from various parts of India and Bangladesh have performed yearly.
The non-profit trust endeavours to make the festival the epicentre where all folk and ethnic art forms will converge and make it a seminal forum for discussions, seminars and aiding distressed artists amidst other practices.
After a Covid-driven hiatus of two years, this year, Sahaj Parav is back with grandeur and colourful performances.
We present Geet Gobindo, Himalayan Folk and Contemporary Music, traditional Bengali folk presentation, Folklore from Rajasthan , Gotipowa from Orissa , Godhuli , traditional folk rendition from Maharashtra and an artisanal market.
Join us on the 16th and 17th of February, 2024, at the historic premise of the Indian Museum, Kolkata.
