Shikara, a restaurant based out of Navi Mumbai, with a legacy of 26 years, has been a brand focusing on bringing alive Kashmiri food, from as early as the time when Mumbai did not have anything related to the Kashmiri cuisine. With their festival - Sair e Kashmir - Shikara wants to bring everything in food, arts and culture that resonates with the land of paradise. The festival will see food curated by guest chef Jasleen Marwah (a home chef specialising in Kashmiri cuisine), artist Mudasir Ali - a Kashmiri - who will bring alive the music from their land and a small artefacts bazaar for diners to enjoy shopping. 

The special offering here is the food that will be served in thaal's, with vegetarian and non vegetarian options, representing the regional flavors from Kashmir. So gear up to try - appetisers such as Nadur Monji (lotus stem fries), Gobhi Rogani, Haak te Kheema (mutton kheema wrapped in haak leaf). The mains bring - Wangun Yakhni (brinjal in curd gravy), Tsoonth Nadur (apples with lotus stems in gravy), Harissa (slow cooked lamb till its a paste), Goshtaba (mutton balls in signature Kashmiri yogurt gravy), chutneys that celebrate the regional food like radish and pomegranate. Lastly the desserts that will be the perfect ending - shalgam phirni, shahi akrot and seb ka shufta! And a lot more!
