Mayur Puri is an Indian screenwriter and lyricist, who has written the dialogues for the film ‘Om Shanti Om’, directed by Farah Khan, as well as Happy New Year, among others. And he will share his learnings from years of writing in the industry with you.

But that’s not all. In the week after the workshop, the participants will get 7 tasks to come up with new ideas.

And one week after the workshop, there will be a peer to peer feedback session, where workshop participants can share and get feedback on their story ideas from the other participants in the session.

About The Facilitator:

Mayur Puri has donned many hats over his decade long Bollywood career as director, film writer, lyricist and actor, but he primarily is and always remains a passionate storyteller at heart - a role he will never grow out of.

He is best known for writing the dialogues for Happy New Year and Om Shanti Om, the additional dialogues for ABCD 2, and the lyrics for Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Kick, Race 2, Singh is Kinng, among many other blockbuster movies.

His other works as film writer include My Name is Anthony Gonsalves (2008), F.A.L.T.U. (2011), Prince (2010), Blue (2009) and Jumbo (2008) as Creative Director.

Apart from this, he is also the brain behind the official translations of The Lion King, Avengers – Endgame, Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle, Thor Ragnarok, and more.

This is a workshop for anyone with an interest in developing and honing their screenwriting abilities. Often getting the larger perspective of how screenwriting works, examples from cinema, and real world tips and techniques can benefit those who are just starting out.
