An in-form India take on Test debutants Afghanistan! India's last test was the historic win over South Africa in Johannesburg at the start of the year and they will be looking to play to their favourites tag against an intriguing Afghanistan side. India lost just 1 Test in 2017 and their home form has been immaculate. The squad sees the likes of Cheteshwar Pujara and Ishant Sharma, who have been honing their skills in English county cricket return, along with Karun Nair, Hardik Pandya and Shardul Thakur who will look to impress if given the chance. The spin trio of R Ashwin, Ravi Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav will also be eager to face off against the spin wizards of Afghanistan!

The story of Afghanistan's success on the world stage is nothing short of a fairytale: A war-ravaged nation whose players have had few resources or support, has produced a cricket team that has risen fast, giving us players like Mujeeb Ur Rahman (the youngest ever player in the IPL) and Rashid Khan, who is now a household name! Few would have thought that the team would attain Test cricket status so quickly, and yet the fact thay they have, is a testament to the team.
