About the Event

Sienna and The Burlap People bring to you a live music experience like none other in Kolkata.


Sienna and The Burlap People have curated a Sunday sun-downer with a lineup of India’s most talented female artists, your favourite Sienna Cafe munchies, and fun handmade goodies to buy. The Burlap People will have a range of their beautiful, eco-friendly bags, handcrafted from jute, and Sienna will have a new winter collection on display. These indie singer songwriters will perform a set of original songs, and you can enjoy these tunes as you shop.

Artists
The Ladies Compartment is a 4 piece all girl band from Mumbai that is playing NH7 Weekender, among many other gigs across India. An amalgamation of American folk, jazz, blues, Indie and Carnatic Indian classical traditions, Ladies Compartment attempts to showcase the daily trials of a working woman in the city of Mumbai.

Hanita Bhambri Described by Rolling Stone Magazine as the angsty pop artist to look out for, Hanita is a soulful singer-songwriter from Delhi. She was discouraged by everyone around her to pursue music but she protected her dream cause the voice in her head was honest. While studying masters in brand management at MICA, Hanita had hopes of connecting with people on an emotional level through her amazing storytelling. This talented musician’s songs are often melancholic reflections about love and loneliness, revolving around her personal experiences. She was fortunate to work with ace producer Miti Adhikari with whom she recorded her debut single "Let me go". She successfully proved herself on the global stage, as the only woman in the competition, by winning this year’s Project Aloft Star amongst 5 countries, a UMG initiative.
