Workshop Description
Introduction to the concept of neurodiversity and various neurotypes we commonly see around us and art based activities that help us become more mindful of the differences we see around us , in order to better promote social inclusion.
Learning Objective
Understanding of neurodiversity as a normal variant in human diversity and mindfulness strategies that help us understand and be more accepting of this diversity.

Facilitator Bio
Shwetha Srivathsan is a parent advocate at Not that Different, an initiative by Bookosmia. She is a tax consultant by profession who pivoted into special education after her daughter was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and has over 12 years of experience working with autistic children and teens in different capacities, including managing a learning center for autistic children. She runs a parenting podcast at Not that Different that aims to raise awareness about building on strengths of neurodivergent individuals. Shwetha is passionate about creating a level playing field for neurodivergents in the spaces of education and work.
Bhargavi Raman is a practicing expressive arts therapist ( MA-EMT, SMART EXB 2022, FECAT 2020) and experiential learning facilitator. She works one-on-one with adults and adolescents and with groups through intermodal expressive arts and mindfulness. She is passionate about promoting the role of arts in mental health and well being. Lawyer by education (NLSIU 2013) she has a daily practice of yoga, movement and meditation
