About the Event

Spiti Valley in Winters starts from the month of November to April, where the temperature in Spiti drops to even -30 degree Celsius. The best way to reach winter Spiti is via Manali or Shimla and the best time to visit Spiti is during the month of March as the weather conditions become favorable.

Spiti Valley in Winters is one of the most recommended trips in the catalog. Additionally, it can be spotted as a top priority on almost every traveler’s bucket list.

Lately, Spiti has risen from a land separating Tibet and Himachal Pradesh to a major tourist attraction. Moreover, Spiti Valley is famous for majorly three things namely its natural beauty, the Monastries, and wonderful people.

The Chorten at Tabo monastery in Spiti valley can be easily spotted in every Spiti Youtube Video ever made. So that should be one of the places you need to add to your itinerary.

Along with that, there are numerous places making Spiti Valley a perfect place for every kind of traveler. It's a great space for Instaholics and photographers as you have enormous opportunities for taking good clicks.

Apart from Spiti being famous as a travel destination, it has another side which is historically rich. Starting from being attacked by neighboring kingdoms to getting invaded by Ghulam Khan and Rahim Khan’s army. Finally, getting into the hands of East India Company in 1846, Spiti has seen a lot.

Best time to visit Spiti Valley during winters is from March to May due to accessible roads, nice weather, and more. But you may have seen adrenaline junkies wandering through Spiti all around the year. During this period of time, the weather in Spiti is favorable for travelers. This is why one can have a full-fledged experience of Spiti Valley.

The highest point for Spiti Valley lies at 12,500 feet above sea level. But most tourists prefer to take a ropeway from Kibber to Chichum to enjoy the view from the top. Buddhist influence is quite evident in the valley. This is why you might come across tons of Mani stones, Buddhist relics, and more.

There are several ways of traveling to the Spiti Valley such as bike trips, a road trip to Spiti. But you can opt for your own vehicle and even try hitchhiking if you’re that type of traveler.

There are only two ways to reach Spiti Valley either via the Manali or Shimla route. But the route from Shimla is preferred by most even though it is the longer one. The reason being that it has a better natural view along the road. Most travelers also prefer to visit Delhi first and then go out to reach Spiti Valley from Delhi.

On a side note, there are several facts about Spiti Winter which are quite amusing. Even after being cut off from the hustle-bustle of the world, Spiti still maintains a literacy rate of 76.80%. The valley is mostly a no-network zone but people still are serious about their education.

The reasons you need to check out the Spiti Valley Tour or Spiti Valley in Winter 2020 are far more than many. But if you still got doubts then we'll clear them up on your next trip to Spiti Valley with JustWravel.
