What began in June 2011 as an informal gathering mutual friends seeking to swap stories developed over the years into Mumbai's longest running book club. Every meeting brings a diverse range of books, opinions and ideas, not to mention people. Our members include historians, architects, food connoisseurs, coffee enthusiasts, antique collectors, marketers and everyone has a story to tell. Stories emerge and play out over the course of two hours until it's time for dinner, only to continue at the dinner table.

SwapBook! has hosted a variety of literary events over the years, book walks, heritage walks and author meets to name a few. The monthly meet-up remains the most popular and consistent offering. If you enjoy reading books, be it Rushdie or Rousseau or Rabindranath, you will discover somebody who would add or complement your views, perhaps even change them.
