A TEDx event is a local gathering where live talks akin to that hosted by TED are shared with one’s community. Spotlighting voices that present us with issues that need to be addressed from diverse backgrounds and disciplines. 

TEDx events are completely planned and coordinated independently by the members of a community making the process wholly organic and enriching. The inclusion of voices from one’s immediate surroundings adds to the connect one will feel at a TEDx event.

TEDxNMIMS is a student-led initiative aimed at advocating the power of opinions. We live in a world dominated by different points of view; the surge of the same pushes a section of voices behind. Here at NMIMS, we hope to bring those very voices forward.

Our theme, “Beyond the Conventional” aligns with the ideology of today’s day and age. An era where we break stereotypes, and question what we are conditioned to accept. We believe in the legitimacy of every opinion for it stems from a space that is untapped. It’s time we explored narratives.

TEDxNMIMS brings to you speakers and performers with ideas that can make a difference. Coming from varied backgrounds, with varying opinions, having one thing in common - the desire to go beyond the conventional.
