About the Event

Toto Funds the Arts (TFA) and Primal are proud to bring you The Night of the Nominee 2018!


TFA is an organization that nurtures and encourages young artists through awards, workshops, and other events. Toto Awards are given annually in the fields of music, photography, short film, and creative writing in English and Kannada. The Night of the Nominee is a music concert that features musicians that have been nominated for the Toto Music Award either in the current year or years past. We believe that this concert is a celebration of the best of the upcoming musical talent from across the country. As an event, it is unique and exciting because different genres, languages, and styles meet on the same stage for one night.

In true indie spirit, we will be getting the venue involved with special cocktails, snacks, and giveaways just for this night, so we look forward to some great surprises from Primal!This time, we bring you our three final candidates for this year's awards, one of whom will win Toto Music Award 2018 the following night at Alliance Française de Bangalore.

Artist line - up
Rohan Rajadhyaksha is a singer, songwriter, composer, and piano player from Mumbai, India. His music although heavily influenced by the R&B and electronic styles still manages to retain a strong connection to its Mumbai roots through his choice of melodies and arrangements.
Prabh Deep, originally from Punjab, is one of the most exciting new underground MCs in the country. His music, voiced in Punjabi, paints a vivid picture of growing up in a locality that reels from high unemployment rates, the continuing fallout of the 1984 riots, and the recent influx of drugs in the community.
The Sine Painter is an electronic music producer from Bangalore. He makes experimental club music that might be described as cinematic, experimental, cyberpunk, hyper-digital, over-the top, and emotional! In addition, he works with video and will be incorporating this element into his set.
