Thaikkudam Bridge is a rock band with a soundscape built upon elements of folk and classical sounds of India interspersed, at times, with layers of progressive, pop, ambient and electronic textures, the band's strength lies in its versatility and unpredictability thanks to six vocalists and six instrumentalists from the length and breadth of the country, each of whom brings on board, a wealth of diverse musical, linguistic and cultural influences thus creating a unique musical experience that is truly global in nature yet local in idea. Come join us and #bethebridge as Juri brings Indias most followed band “Thaikkudam bridge” for a live concert to Hyderabad.
Founder member of the musical sensation Thaikkudam Bridge, Govind Menon is also a well-known individual and personal in the field of music. He is a leading musician and composer in the South Indian film industry including Malayalam and Tamil. Govind has lent his music for well-noted movies like 24 north katham, Vegam, Njan Steve Lopez, Nagaravaridhi, 100 days of love and many more to come. Govind debuted in Tamil with Oru Pakka Katha and now is one of the most noted amongst the music composers juggling over 6 big projects at the same time.Govind was also the main sound programmer for music directors Ouseppachan sir and Gopi Sundar. He comes with the unique experience of working in more than 120 movies as the background score arranger for leading music directors of the country.
Mithun Raju-Lead Guitars
With an experience of working in over 120 movies in various language film industries as a guitarist and music producer, Mithun Raju is a professional musician par excellence. He was the founder member of famous bands like Pseutopia ( Alternative rock ) and Mother Jane. The band’s track “Same parade” was a chartbuster and was featured in Rolling Stone magazine, the number one music magazine in the new noises vol 1 compilation.The band also reached the 7th position on New Jersey Reverbnation charts.Coming with galore of experience with noted bands all over Mithun who is one of India’s most wanted guitarist, now helms the main position in Thaikkudam Bridge as the lead.
Ashok Betty Nelson-Rhythm Guitars
Ashok, the lead guitarist spent the first nine years in Delhi, studying at K.V. Gol market, started learning Mridangam at the age of 4 from Sri Prem Kumar(Delhi), and later from Suresh Kumar(Trivandrum). During his stint at the Law college Trivandrum, he started playing the guitar which became his life-altering passion. Was part of his popular music band for a long time before he graduated and left for Chennai with the dream of being a full-time musician. Had the privilege to assist the prominent music director M. Jayachandran from 2008 to 2012. He was also a part of Solid Band, accompanying Stephen Devassy in and outside India for more than hundred stages.A tried and tested guitarist, he has been playing for background score and songs in movies for music directors such as Ousepachan, Rajamani, M. Jayachandran, Rex Band, Srinivas. Has been doing jingles for Kairali T.V., Manorama, Mecdowells, Allan Solly etc. Is one of the founding members of the band Thaikkudam bridge as Rhythm guitarist.
Vian Fernandes-Bass Guitars, Vocals
Vian Fernandes is the star who took Mumbai University to a 4-year straight row gold in western group singing in Zonal, State, and National festival. His interests always lay in foundations of instruments and played the bass for the band Infernal wrath which won the rolling stone best metal band award in India in the year 2010/2011. Vian as a presence in Infernal Wrath has shared the stage with most of the legendary musicians and has extensive festival experience being a part of noted ones such as Independence Rock, Bacardi NH7, Rock Ethos to name a few. He was a part of Nirmitee, a band which was featured amongst the top 4 bands in the reality show X-Factor curated by ace Bollywood director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.Vian Fernandes has released two full-length Albums, Pahadi(2016 ) and Alive( 2017) from his solo project which is named VF official. Blunt, Naughty and sincere, Vian is the powerhouse Bassist, frontman and rapper of Thaikkudam Bridge and deserves every bit of accolades that come his way
Ruthin Thej –Keyboards
Ruthin a trained keyboardist started his zest with the instrument since the age of 9. Completed till 4th grade from London trinity college of music and continued to be a live performer in many piano concerts like music quest (Pune, 2009) till the age of 20 and worked as a music producer for different movies in different languages like Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada and Hindi albums. Currently the mainframe instrumentalist for Thaikkudam bridge.
Anish T N-Drums
Anish is the energetic drummer who ornaments the Thaikkudam team. He is a prodigy known for playing the drums at any time signatures. He plays acoustic and electronic drums with ease and keeps the audience on their toes for hours during live shows with his infectious groove and flair for foot tapping beats. A name to reckon with in the Kerala music scene with frequent appearances on media, Anish has also received his training in South Indian Percussion Instrument ‘Mridangam’ from RLV College of Music, Kochi.Anish started his musical journey about 10 years ago, at the age of 17 and has been working with the greatest of musicians ever since. He has been part of many live stage performances with Padma Shri Hariharan, Naresh Iyer, and many other leading artists. Having started his career with “Sizosis” party band in the midst of 2003, Anish had also performed many live stages shows both in India and aboard during his tenure with the rock band “Evergreen”. “Evergreen”, based out of Kochi is known for their melodic, hard-rock album “Between and Beyond” and their electrifying live performances. Shortly afterward he got an opportunity to work with another prominent Indian rock band “Mother Jane”’s lead guitarist Santhosh Chandran on many of his solo projects. “Rithu Raga” – a fusion rock band initiated by Anish shows his enthusiasm and strong passion towards rock music.As a teacher, Anish‘s aim was to perpetuate knowledge and inspire learning. Anish – who holds the 6th grade in drums, is also deeply involved in grooming promising new talent at numerous the Cochin Kalabhavan Music Academy, Joys Music Academy – founded by playback singer Minmini, Kochin refinery school, and such other avenues.
Peethambaran Menon-Vocals
Starting off his musical career as the lead singer of the band conjoined by legendary musician Johnson, Peethambaran Menon pursued music out of pure passion and innate talent. From his school days, he has been bagging awards in his kitty for his musical performances which include the awards both district and state levels. He joined the government services in the irrigation department and retired in 2012. His musical genius never left its true calling and he is the star performer now a part of Thaikkudam bridge, the most leading contemporary music band and there has been no looking back since then.He is now a noted playback in the Malayalam music industry.
Vipin Lal-Vocals
With a professional degree in Sound Engineering from the School of Audio Engineering, Chennai, Vipin Lal is currently the lead vocalist of Thaikkudam Bridge and is known for his unique soulful style of singing which has garnered him admirers across the world.His musical career began being a Keyboard programmer and orchestrator with the lead musicians of India such as National award winners Bijibal, Ouseppachan, Gopi Sunder. He is also a playback in the Malayalam industry having sung for music directors like Bijibal and Justin Varghese.
Christin Hanna Jos-Vocals
With a professional degree in Sound Engineering from the School of Audio Engineering, Chennai, Christin Hanna Jos is currently one of the lead vocalists of Thaikkudam Bridge. Beginning his career as a sound engineer and keyboard programmer, he emerged as a noted playback singer rendering his vocals to movies like Entry, Rasputin, North 24 katham, 100 days of love with many more hot projects in the pipeline.Moving on to Telugu and Tamil, he has sung hit numbers in movies like Yevade Subramaniam and Namadhu making his identified mark in Tinseltown.
Anish Gopalkrishnan-Vocals
Anish who pursued music right after his school days is a thorough entertainment professional who has made his mark through his signature track “Chekele” which is now associated with his name.He is one of the lead vocalists of Thaikkudam Bridge and has a steady fan following for the star performer that he is and his solo numbers have numerous takers across borders. Anish specializes in Indian and western styles of rendering with the name of delivering a power packed high energy performances. Anish is known for his innate ability to juggle any language to his verses. He has now lent his versatile voice to many South Indian language flicks.
Krishna Bongane-Vocals
Shri. Krishna Shrimant Rao Bongane is musically talented and comes from a family of musicians and music lovers. A disciple of Ustad Rashid Khan, he started learning music at the tender age of 12. Krishna is a brilliant vocalist and also plays the harmonium flawlessly. Krishna is a Sangeet Visharad from Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Maha Vidyalaya. He is one of the most noted and sought after Hindustani classical musicians in India. And to top it all, he has also represented The University of Mumbai in the International Youth Fest “Saufest 2008” held in Nepal. He has been awarded many prestigious scholarships.
Nila Madhab Mohapatra-Vocals
Nila Madhab, a Sangeet Visharad in Hindustani Classical Music from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mandal, Mumbai is the Hindustani strength of Thaikkudam Bridge. With a Masters in Music from Mumbai University, he merges his skill with the profession. He is one of the most sought-after Hindustani musicians in the country.
