Artist
One of India’s most versatile comedians, Naveen recently showcased his comic dexterity with released his hour-long comedy special, Don’t Make That Face, on Amazon Prime. A member of comedy collective Them Boxer Shorts, they created the acclaimed web series Better Life Foundation. He has also acted in Challenge Accepted (a Comedy Central TV show), Starboyz (a comedy sci-fi web series with Kenny Sebastian) and acts as Uncle Francis, a comedic avatar which has found a cult following. From being a finalist on Comedy Central’s Indian Comedy Festival 2012, he’s performed over 400 stand-up shows, and headlined comedy events such as Stage42, Bangalore Comedy Festival and Chennai’s Fringe Comedy Festival. In 2017, he wrote episodes and played Pankaj for the hilarious web series Pushpavalli. As Uncle Francis would say, "Hello children, just keep calm and just go to his show, da dei!"
Rohan Joshi is a member of popular comedy collective AIB. As part of AIB, he has been a part of the collective’s ambitious projects such as AIB Knockout (India’s first ever comedy roast), AIB Diwas (a full-day open-air comedy show), On Air with AIB (the satirical news show telecast on primetime television and Hotstar), and AIB Presents Royal Turds (a Bollywood-themed spoof award show). One of the earliest stand-up comics in the country, he was on the Times of India’s list of top ten comedians in India in 2012, with over 250 shows at premier venues in India and internationally. He performs regularly for corporate clients across India. Rohan has co-written the prestigious Filmfare awards. Excitingly for fans, he has returned to the stand-up stage in 2017, and is trying out new material.
A child stuck in man’s body, Sahil Shah lets his inner ‘problem child’ out with his comedy (best sampled with his special, Childish Behaviour, with which he toured in 2017). One of the founding members of East India Comedy, he has performed over 900 shows and counting, including performances in New York, London, Singapore and Dubai. The versatile comedian is a regular at the Comedy Store and other leading venues in cities like Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Kolkatta, Chennai, Bangalore, Coimbatore and Hyderabad. Apart from comedy clubs and sold out auditoriums, Sahil has also given a TedX talk, has been featured on shows such as Channel V UR Fired and The Front Row on Star World, and has written articles in MTV Noise Factory, one of India’s leading humor magazines. Sahil is also known for his YouTube show The Ad Show.
Shankar Chugani is a stand up comic based in Bangalore. He has been performing across the country for the last 5 years. You can watch him on Amazon Prime's Comicstaan or catch him live at a comedy show. As a kid, Shankar Chugani was distressingly short and easily intimidated. Now, he's still short, but less easily intimidated, and busy making people laugh. Over the last 5 years, Shankar's high energy performances have entertained people across the country - from small open mics to massive audiences in Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Pune. Come join them to find out what it feels like to be a small town boy forced to dance as a girl, amongst other stories
Known for her witty comedy on Comicstaan (2019), Ramya Ramapriya started out a mechanical engineer and quit her corporate job, because that’s what engineers do. Life could have been super easy for her but she made it tough. That’s a joke in itself, so she joined Bangalore’s comedy circuit in 2017. Her sets are filled with hilarious anecdotes and observations! She doesn’t shy away from dark material either, even tackling subjects like the National Sex Offenders Registry. Her performances on Comicstaan earned her national attention. She’s got quite some memorable bits from the show - there was her silent sketch about how to be a baby, acted out to a voice-over. Jokes when you least expect it, absurd comedy, and biting delivery - her live standups are as brilliant as her sketches on the show. Other than standup, Ramya Ramapriya’s hobbies include painting, stitching, binge-watching and sleeping. Basically she’s a 60-year-old stuck in the body of a 27-year-old.
