Greetings from Stay High Adventures. 

Dzu-kou means cold waters in the local Angami dialect of Nagaland. Fondly referred to as the 'Valley of Flowers', the valley is full of various flowers from spring till the start of the monsoon season (March - May) during the winters the valley is covered in frost and nighttime temperatures are sub zero. The sight of vast green grasslands, narrow trails, crystal clear waters, caves, starry skies, bamboo thickets, different species of birds is bound to take your breath away and leave you mesmerized for days to follow.

Dzukou Trek - 4999/- 3D 2N

Inclusions: Single/Double occupancy in a 2/3 person tent, all meals, evening/morning tea, electricity*, mobile charging points, sleeping mat, sleeping bag/blanket, Dzukou entry pass, Transport to and from trek start point, ILP

Itinerary:

Day 1 - Arrive at Stay High campsite/homestay by morning/afternoon and settle in. Visit a nearby village on foot guided by our crew in the afternoon/evening. By nightfall, return to camp and enjoy the bonfire and dinner under the stars. Retire early to prepare for the early start on Day 2

Day 2 - Wake up early and post a quick breakfast move out with our Crew to Viswema trek start point. After a 30 mins journey by car, reach the trek start point. After the steep ascent for 30 mins. you would reach the view point. Enjoy the view of the entire valley from here, which is a feast for the eyes. The trail now is more easier with slight inclines and declines along a winding path surrounded by thick bamboo grasses. Reach the Dzukou guest house after approximately 2 hours and a hot cup of tea awaits you. Check in to your tents and post lunch move out to explore the valley. By mid afternoon, return to camp and enjoy bonfire and relax. Rest for the night post dinner.

Day 3 - Next morning, wake up and post breakfast, move down to the valley to explore the caves and the stream that feeds the flowers. Or you can spend some time meditating too. By 11 AM, move out of camp to trek back to the Trek start point. On the way back, indulge in bird watching and fill your water bottle in the stream. The water is said to be very pure and refreshing. By late afternoon, reach the Trek start point check out for your onward journey. The memories of Dzukou will be with you for a long time to come.

Preparation for the trek:

• Maintain a basic level of physical fitness prior to the trek
• Squats, running and jogging or walking to strengthen your legs
• Carry a water bottle/sipper for personal use
• Small backpack for your personal belongings
• Warm sweaters/pullover/jacket for the evening and morning
• A hat or cap for protection from the sun
• Sunglasses to protect your eyes
• Good quality walking/jogging or trekking shoes
• Comfortable trek clothing preferably full lowers
