Take a tour of some mesmerizing monuments
With its rich history & heritage, Delhi is home to several monuments. Spending evenings at these sites is one of our favourite things to do in Delhi. It’s got some really famous places of worship as well. All-in-all these include Qutub Minar, Lotus Temple, ISKCON Temple, Humayun’s Tomb, India Gate, Safdarjung Tomb, Red Fort, Akshardham Temple, Jama Masjid, and Agrasen Ki Baoli.
Sway away to some live music
Head to hip-and-happening live music venues in Delhi - The Piano Man Jazz Club, Hauz Khas Social, Imperfecto Ruin Pub, 38 Barracks, Ministry of Beer, and Raasta are some of our personal favourites. DJ’s spinning fresh beats, bands riffing out new albums - oh concerts in Delhi are really cool. The music scene is booming too. Keep an eye out for the big acts like Ritviz, Nucleya, DIVINE, BLOT! Where to go shopping in Delhi? Make a note of these markets - Connaught Place, Karol Bagh Market, Dilli Haat, Janpath Market, Khan Market, Sarojini Market, Chandni Chowk, and Lajpat Nagar. Expect to find steal deals in these places with the latest trends on sale. Carry a cloth bag along, and make sure it’s big - because you’ll end buying a thing or two or ten.

Try some offbeat activities
Go boating at the Purana Qila. Get to know your spices better at markets like Sadar Bazar and Khari Baoli (near Chandni Chowk). Have your minds blown with the Sound and Light Show at Red Fort. Watch the Changing of Guard ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Explore Indian Handicrafts at the low-key Crafts Museum. Btw if you’re an aviation geek, head to Jumbo Point in Dwarka. Why? To spot an endless flight of planes.
Get up close with nature
Who doesn’t love gardens! The open sky, large patch of greens, multiple grounds, and the evening sun - it’s just beautiful with your loved ones. Lodhi Gardens, Hauz Khas, Central Park, Garden of Five Senses, Jahanpanah City Forest, Deer Park, Indraprastha Park, Swarn Jayanti Park, Talkatora Gardens, are some open-air green patches in the city where you can cool it off in the summers. Speaking of Lodhi Gardens, don’t forget to check out Lodhi Art District too.
Take a tour of the city’s museums
History buffs, head here: National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA), National Rail Museum, Heritage Transport Museum, Kiran Nadar Museum of Art, and the Museo Photography Centre. P.S. One of India’s largest museums, the NGMA Delhi is home to over 2,00,000 works of art, history & culture. If you’re into arts go gallery hopping at India Habitat Centre, Delhi Art Gallery, Delhi Art House, Vadehra Art Gallery, and Nature Morte.
Hop on a bike and go cruising around Delhi
Whether it is to commute from one point to another or take a stroll through the city, e-bikes and cycles are a great way to do it. Day or night - anytime is a good time. Check out one of the rental services or tours to get started. We hear the popular Yulu bikes are just perfect for this.
Spend a day at an amusement park
If you wanna do it the old school way - head to Jantar Mantar. Ever since childhood that place has left as amused. But for a more new-age take of amusement head to these amusement parks near Delhi: Kingdom of Dreams, Rocksport, Worlds of Wonder, Adventure Island, Drizzling Land, Fun N Food Village, Delhi Eye, and Jurassic Park.
